
Welcome
I began this blog in June 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a way to stay engaged and reflective. Writing has always helped me think more deeply, and over time this space has grown into something more: a platform where I share my experience and guide others in property consultancy and investment.
My Background
Early in my career, I trained as a property valuer and consultant, specialising in the valuation of development lands, industrial estates, and commercial properties. My work spanned sales, loan applications, financial reporting, submissions to the Securities Commission, compulsory acquisitions, corporate marketing, and feasibility studies.
I hold a BSc in Land Management from the University of Reading, England (1991), (Honours 2.1). By 1998, I had passed the Test of Professional Competence and secured licences from the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents, and Property Managers, Malaysia (BOVAEAP). Though I no longer practice as a valuer, my licences remain reactivatable, and I continue to contribute to the real estate sector in other capacities.

Beyond writing, I now offer independent property consultancy and coaching. Whether you are an investor seeking clarity on valuations, risks, and market opportunities, or a student eager to understand the realities of property consultancy, I can guide you with practical insights drawn from decades of experience.

Writing and Advocacy
In 2018–2019, issues around strata living inspired me to write extensively, and I was fortunate to share my perspectives through a series of articles with StarProperty. These experiences reinforced my belief that property consultancy is not just about numbers — it’s about people, communities, and transparency.
